Steel industry is increasing rapidly nowadays. Metallurgical plants daily pollutes the environment with hazardous substances that occur during the proceedings. Authors of the article conducted a study of waters and bottom sediments of the Rybinsk reservoir. In this area there is the metallurgical plant named CherMK PAO “Severstal”. Soon there will be built a pulp and paper factory. All these factors will increase the environmental burden of the territory.Авторами было проведено исследование вод и донных отложений Рыбинского водохранилища, на прилегающей территории которого располагается металлургический комбинат ЧерМК ПАО «Северсталь», оказывающий неблагоприятное воздействие на состояние водного объекта, а также в 2022 году будет окончено строительство целлюлозно-бумажного комбината, который увеличит антропогенную нагрузку на объект
